Capt. Wendell Pruitt (73), and Lt. Lee Archer (72), in action on October 12, 1944, over Lake Balaton, in Southern Hungary. Archer shot down 3 enemy fighters in 10 minutes.

Sept. 25, 1918, Lt. Eddie Rickenbacker from the U.S. 94th Aero Squadron flew a solo mission over No Man's Land. He attacked a German formation of 5 Fokker D.Vll's escorting two Haberstandt Observation planes. On his first pass he downed a Fokker D.Vll, on his second pass he downed a Haberstadt C. On his third pass he dove again through the formation and out of the fight having downed two enemy aircraft in 10 minutes. For this action, Rickenbacker was awarded the Medal of Honor.
